The conspiracy we need

Facts are alternative. Truth is meaningful only when seen through the lens of ideology. And many Americans believe the anonymous Q’s internet conspiracy about Satan worshipers who run a child sex ring while controlling the country.

In this world, some of your neighbors embrace the QAnon conspiracy. Facts cease to matter. Truth dies. And both – facts and truth – become functionally little better than the conspiracy that supplanted them.

The answer? A new conspiracy.

Here goes.

I read about it on the dark web, in a post by a nameless luminary who goes by “B.”

B says things that actually exist, and for which there is incontrovertible evidence, are facts.

Shocking, I know. Trust B.

B says information that’s widely acknowledged, rooted in reason and tested across time may be regarded as truth.

Steady there! Trust B.

B says fanciful and wacky conspiracies that assume the connivance of thousands and for which there is no evidence aren’t rooted in facts and haven’t risen to the level of truth. B says they are false.

Trust B. Join the movement. We are BAwake.
