Hi Jeff, I was thinking the other day about how abhorrent this is, and how we, as a society are now desensitized. When we were kids we worried about bullies taking our lunch money, calling us names, and when things were really bad, they would hit us. If you were beat on by a bully, it hurt, and it was humiliating, but it wasn’t life changing. You didn’t die, you just put an ice pack on your nose and figured out ways to avoid it happening again. People now, including us and our families don’t get a second chance.
Anyway, your article brings home the insanity of day to day living in 2023. Thanks Jeff

This used to be a one-off … once every few years. Remember how shocked everyone was by Columbine? Then school shootings became more commonplace, we maybe had 3 a year. Now, in recent years, more shootings in more and different places. Lately, it is a daily occurrence. What happens when you give all people the right to own and carry guns? More people losing their lives due to some hothead’s whim.

Did you forget the one that started it off? The post office. Remember the phrase “Going Postal”?
America is now the new killing fields.
